Where is the female gamete produced?
The ovaries
What is the function of the female egg?
To get fertilised and develop into the new off spring
How is the egg specialised?
It has a jelly coat to protect the egg
It has a large quantity of cytoplasm to supply nutrients to grow a baby
Define fertilisation.
The fusion of the male sperm nucleus and female egg nucleus in the oviduct to form a zygote
What is a zygote?
A fertilised egg
