Where chemical reactions take place
State the function of the cell membrane.
To control what substances goes in and out of the cell
State the function of the cell wall.
To support the cell
State the function of the vacuole.
To contain cell sap
State the function of chloroplasts.
Where photosynthesise
State the function of ribosomes.
Where proteins are made
State the function of the mitochondria.
Where aerobic respiration takes place
Whats is a plasmid?
A small circular piece of DNA
Describe the difference between the cell wall in a plant, bacterial and fungal cell.
Plant cell walls are made of cellulose. Fungal and bacterial cell walls are made from a different material.
What do all cells contain?
Cell membrane, cytoplasm and ribosomes.
What does a bacterial cell have that a fungal cell doesn’t have?
plasmid and circular chromosome
What does a fungal cell have that a bacterial cell doesn’t have?
Nucleus, mitochondria and a vacuole
What does a plant cell have that an animal cell doesn’t have?
Chloroplast, cell wall and vacuole
