Describe the three different purchasing strategies.
- Cross-CCode Purch. Org.: If purchasing is set up on a cross-company-code basis, the customer works with a central purchasing organization that is responsible for worldwide outline purchase agreements and the negotiation of the relevant terms and conditions. This means that the purchasing organization is active for more than one enterprise and, in organizational terms, is not linked to one specific company code or particular plants.
- Cross-Plant Purch. Org.: when a purchasing organization procures materials and services for several plants that belong to a company code
• Plant Specific Org.: A purchasing organization is responsible for procuring materials for one plant only
