A
Tricot and Raschel.
2
Q
Tricot Knit:
A
Usually lightweight, and made with fine filament yarns, because needles on tricot machine are very fine. They do not stretch as much as weft knits, and the face is characterized by vertical wales.
3
Q
Raschel Knit:
A
Can range from finely knitted laces to heavy-duty fabrics. Very complex fabrics are possible. Coarser yarns can be used than for tricot and they can be spun yarns of staple fibre or filament yarns. The designs can be made by laying in coloured or textured yarns.
