The smallest component that can be separated from a fabric; with a high length-to-width ratio.

Assemblage of fibres that is twisted or laid together to form a continuous strand that can be made into a textile fabric.

Fabric:
A
Made from fibers, yarns, or fabrics, in any combination of interlacing, inter-looping, knotting, or otherwise intertwining. e.g. denim, carpets, geotextiles, knits. Fabrics are planar, porous, thin and flexible, and can range in thickness.
