15 million men & women served in armed forces during WW2 whether in the military or nurses for the amy or in factories, they also screened out people to see who fits for war & tried to avoid having gay people in the army
What was women doing for the military moblization?
Joining non-combat duties & organziations to help the fight

Women & African - Americans benefited from wartime work opportunties since there was a demand for labor
Rosie The River
Was a campaign for women to work in factories saying “We can do it”, & many women during that time left being a housewife to work in factories but was expected to also work in factories & take care of their family after (basically two jobs)
Women still faced _________, sexually harrassment, low pay, etc working in factories or traditonally men jobs

Forces a 30 day cooling off period so a strike didnt break out (Basically outlawed strikes in defense industries like factories)
