What is the Perimenopause?
It is the time, usually, when a woman reaches her forties and the production of oestrogen begin to lessen resulting in the ovaries stop producing an egg each month.
What is the Menopause?
It is the point in a woman’s life when the ovaries stop releasing eggs.
Name the Peimenopause symptoms.
Night sweats
Sore breasts
Lower sex drive
Irregular or heavy periods
Discomfort during sex
Mood swings
Trouble sleeping
Urinating more frequently
Name the Menopause symptoms.
No more periods

Less oestrogen and progesterone produced
Lower sexual interest
Possible osteoporosis
What are the effects of ageing (middle adulthood)?
Increased weight
Skin loses elasticity (wrinkles begin to show)
Hair colour begins to turn grey.
Hair loss.
What age does ‘Middle Adulthood’ begin and end?
45-65 Years Old.
