How does pollution affect development?
Air and water pollution can influence development of a major source of ill health. Air pollution can cause asthma due to the pollution given off from vehicle exhausts and some cleaning products.
How can respiratory disorders affect development?
Substances can affect the nerves and muscles used for breathing and can have a load effect on the lining of the oesophagus.
How can cardiovascular problems affect development?
Carcinogens and air pollutions can cause chances of a stroke or heart attack occuring.
How can allergies affect development?
Motor vehicles can produce a range of pollutants including carbon monoxide.
How can poor housing conditions affect development?
Increases risk of respiratory and cardiovascular disease as well as anxiety and/or depression; increasing illness risks.
