Use of evidence in support of a case

A

Use your statistics and other research from AC3.1 to help give evidence in support of a case. Go over the concept for your campaign and justify your choices for aspects such as name, logo, audience etc. This includes justification of your materials, explaining the choice and design. The imagery used, colouring and details must be justified. You can refer to other campaigns and particularly the aspects of them that have proved successful. You refer to things such as:

  • I decided upon… for the campaign name. I chose this name because… What’s more it meets my aim of… as well as targeting my audience because…
  • I chose to use a range of methods including… I chose these because my audience… I also felt that these would be effective in promoting my aim because… if I had chosen… or… it might not have been successful.
  • The target audience would be most likely to respond to this because… it also offers a good link to the topic because…

A

Presenting a case for action involves explaining why your campaign is necessary and what impact it hopes to achieve. Outline your campaign focus, give reasons and present your supporting evidence.

Make sure you link into your specific aims and target audience. Supporting statistics and real-life case examples should be included. Use sentence starters such as:

  • This is an important area to address because…
  • Without a campaign like this, it is likely that…
