  • difficult with falling asleep
  • Waking up a lot during the night
  • Frequently lying awake during the night
  • Not feeling refreshed on waking
  • Finding it hard to fall asleep again in the day when tired
  • Feeling irritable and unstable to concentrate

What are the symptoms for narcolepsy?

A
  • Excessive daytime sleepiness ( EDS) - someone with. narcolepsy feels extreme sleepiness and can fall into an uncontrollable daytime sleep at any time
  • Hallucinations and vivid dreams- Experiencing something that is not there, such as a feeling of danger. Can also bring vivid dreaming and separating dreams from reality can become difficult
  • around 70 per cent of people with narcolepsy experience cataplexy
