Ulnar Nerve Flashcards
The Ulnar Nerve comes off the brachial plexus at:
medial cord
it runs in the _____ compartment and _____ through the arm
runs in the posterior compartment, anterior to the medial head of the triceps through the arm
it runs _______ and then into the _______ part of the forearm
runs posterior to the medial epicondyle and then into the anterior of the forearm
from the elbow is supplies the:
flexor carpi ulnaris
flexor digitorium profundus (medial/ulnar)
it passes ______ those 2 muscles
between the flexor carpi ulnaris and FDP medial
it then branches into:
the Palmar branch and
dorsal branch
The Palmar branch supplies:
the skin on the medial side of wrist and palm
the Dorsal Branch supplies:
the skin on the dorsomedial side of wrist and hand
the skin on the posterior aspects of the medial 1.5-2 digits
it continues to the wrist and enters:
superficial to flexor retinaculum and then through the hand
it immediately branches into:
Deep Ulnar
Superfifical
The Deep Ulnar runs:
via Canal of Guyon
the Deep Ulnar supplies:
the hypothenar muscles and the
central compartment
The Hypothenar muscles are:
Abductor digiti minimi
Flexor digiti minimi brevis
Opponens digiti minimi
the Central Compartment muscles are:
4 dorsal interossei
4 palmer interossei
Adductor Pollicis
medial 2 lumbericals
The Superficial nerve supplies:
Palmaris brevis
and 2 digital nerves
and skin of palmer medial 1.5 or 2 digits and associated distal palmar skin
