The Spanish Inquisition was when King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella kicked out all of the Jews from Spain because they decided that Jewish people could not be properly converted to Christianity and were of a different race. The two of them did it so they could more closely control the religion of the area.

How did the invention of the printing press contribute to the spread of renaissance ideas and what where its affects?

A

The printing press allowed ideas such as those of Erasmus to be spread quickly because of the thousands of copies being made and given out. The printing press brought about the accumulation of more universities as well as allowing large numbers of groups to join causes. This in turn brought the government and church leaders to spread propaganda and censor any content not in alignment with their ideals.
