Trivia Flashcards
How do you calculate Rate of Climb from :exp: 6.5%
How do you Calculate climb Gradient ?
G.S. X rate = Gradient
.??
How do you determine Pressure Altitude ?
How do you determine Density Altitude ?
1013 - 998 x 28 = 420 feet, now add this to the field elevation
Density Alt=. 120 x OAT - ISA = 3000. Now add this to pressure altitude and you get Density Altitude.
How do you calculate FPA from a % e.g. 5.4% ??
— x 5.4= ?
.57 x 5.4 = 3.078 degrees

T/O and Landing Inhibit function works from when to when ?
T/O many warnings and cautions are inhibited between 80 kt and 1500 ft or 2 min whichever is greater. the T/O is divided in to low and high speed regimes. with a 100 kt being the dividing line. above 100 kt and before V1 the Captain should be go minded.
Density Altitude Calculation ?
Determine Pressure Altitude first : 1013-998x28ft=420ft
PA + (120x(OAT-ISA)= ________
Overspeed recovery ?
Severe Overspeed recovery ?
- Keep A/P engaged.
- extend speed brake
- Keep A/THR engage and ensure that thrust reduces to idle.
In case of severe:
the a/p disengagesand then the high speed protection engages and the ac encounters pitch up
Wind entered in the MCDU PERF APPR uses what reference ?
And the wind entered should be ??
The MCDU considers the wind to be
the same reference as the airport !!
e.g. if the airport is magnetic reference then the crew should insert magnetic wind !!
ATIS AND TOWER gives wind direction the same reference as the runway.
VOLMET, METAR, AND TAF is always “TRUE” reference.
PROVIDE A SUMMARY OF THE GS MINI?
to keep the a/c energy level above a minimum value.
VLS + 1/3 tower wind = Vapp e.g. TWR wind 20kt HW 1/3 = 7
VLS =130 + 7 = 137 Vapp
GS mini = Vapp -HW
Vapp 137 - HW 20kt = 117 GS mini
