How do you activate the G/A Phase and what happens when activated?

Answer 1

The Thrust levers have to be set to TOGA and the Flap lever is selected to 1 or greater.
The FD Bars are displayed and SRS and GA TRK mode engages.
The missed approach becomes the active.
The SRS guides the A/C at the highest speed.. 2 Eng VLS +25
Or 1 ENG VLS +15.
The GA TRK modes guides the AC on the track memorized at the time of TOGA selection. Pushing NAV allows the Missed App to be followed.

How do you activate your diversion?

Answer 2

1. If Alt Flt PLN was prepared in the active Flt PLN, do a lateral revision at the TO WPT, to ENABLE ALTN.
2. If it is not prepared. Lat revision at TO WPT and insert a new destination.
