(4. tranexamic acid → only used in the USA, serious side effects)

mechanism of action:
A
- aminocaproic acid → completely block plasminogen activation
- protamine sulfate → antagonize the anticoagulant effect of heparin = HEPARIN ANTIDOTE
- phytonadione (vit. K) → used as ANTIDOTE in inhibition of warfarin therapy → ORAL/PARENTERAL

side effects:
A
- muscle necrosis
- thrombosis
- CVA (cerebrovascular accident)
- seizures
- hypersensitivity → skin reactions, anaphylaxis
- dyspnea, flushing, hypotension, bradycardia
