Reactive Attachment Disorder
A consistent pattern of inhibited, emotionally withdrawn behavior toward adult caregivers marked with social and emotional disturbance caused by a pattern of extremes or insufficient care.
Disinhibited Social Engagement Disorder
A pattern behavior in which a child approaches and interacts with unfamiliar adults caused by a pattern of extremes or insufficient care.
Posttraumatic Stress Disorder
Exposure to actual or threatened death, or serious injury, or sexual violence caused by direct experience, indirect exposure, or experiencing repeated or extreme exposure to aversive details of a traumatic event. Exposure causes intrusion symptoms associated with the traumatic event and avoidance of specific stimuli. Duration of disturbance is more than 1 month.
Acute Stress Disorder
Exposure to actual or threatened death, or serious injury, or sexual violence caused by direct experience, indirect exposure, or experiencing repeated or extreme exposure to aversive details of a traumatic event. Exposure causes intrusion symptoms associated with the traumatic event and avoidance of specific stimuli. Duration of disturbance is at least 3 days and up to 1 month.
Adjustment Disorder
The development of emotional or behavioral symptoms on response to an identifiable stressor occurring within 3 months of the onset of the stressor.
