TX:
- ABC’s (High Flow O2, Vent, End Tidal cO2)
-HX & Vitals
-12 Lead EKG
-Large Bore IV (2X) or IO
-Fluids
-Calcium & Glucagon
-Epi
-Rapid Transport

-Dilated pupils
-Blurred/Double vision
-Fever
-Respiratory depression
-Hypoglycemia
-Edema
-Diaphoretic
-Hypotension
-Seizures
-Bradycardia, AV Blocks
BB OD
TX:
- ABC’s (High Flow O2, Vent, End Tidal cO2)
-HX & Vitals
-12 Lead EKG
-Large Bore IV (2X) or IO
-Fluids
-Calcium & Glucagon
-Epi
-Dextrose (if hypoglycemic from BB)
-Versed (if prolonged seizures occur)
-Rapid Transport
-Sedation
-Blurred vision, Dilated pupils
-Constipation
-Dry mouth
-Urine retention
-Tachycardia
-Broad complex dysrhythmias
-Hypotension
-Seizures or Coma
TCA OD
TX:
- ABC’s (High Flow O2, Vent, End Tidal cO2)
-HX & Vitals
-12 Lead EKG (Mag if in Torsades)
-Large Bore IV (2X) or IO
-Lactated Ringers
-Epi **
-Versed** (if prolonged seizures occur)
-Rapid Transport
-Headache
-Dizziness
-Weakness
-Confusion
-Blurred/Double vision
-Shortness of Breath
-Chest Pain
-Nausea/Vomiting
-Syncope, Loss of Consciousness
Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
Acetaminophen (Tylenol) toxicity
Stage 1
Less than 24 hours
- Nausea/Vomiting
- Anorexia
- Pallor
- Malaise
Acetaminophen (Tylenol) toxicity
Stage 2
(24 to 72 hours)
- (RUQ) abdominal pain
- Abd tenderness to palpation
Acetaminophen (Tylenol) toxicity
Stage 3
(72 to 96 hours)
- Metabolic acidosis
- Renal failure
- Coagulopathies
- Recurring GI symptoms
Acetaminophen (Tylenol) toxicity
Stage 4
(4 to 14 days [or longer])
-Recovery slowly begins or liver failure progresses and the patient dies
The antidote for acetaminophen toxicity is acetylcysteine (Acetadote); ideally, it should be given within 8 hours following ingestion

- ABC’s (O2)
-HX
-Remove Constrictive Items
-Marker the initial edema
-Large Bore IV (2X)
-Lactated Ringers
-Pain management
-Immobilize Extremity
-Rapid Transport
