Why do mammals have a double circulatory system.
We need to control the pressure of blood flow.
E.g. when delivering to lungs we need a low pressure to minimize chance of damage to alveoli.
Lower pressure also means blood is going slower enabling more time for Gas Exchange.
What does ‘Closed’ refer to in the circulatory system?
blood remains within the blood vessels.
