Control
The ability to maintain their internal conditions within a narrow range (e.g. adjusting your body temperature).
Excretion
Removal of waste substances produced by chemical reactions in cells (e.g. sweating, CO2 exhaled).
Growth
Increase in size and mass by increasing the number of cells (e.g. making new leaves).
Movement
An action by an organism or part of an organism causing a change of position or place.
Nutrition
The need to take in food for nutrition and energy. Plants make their own food by photosynthesis, animals eat plants or other animals.
Respiration
The release of energy in cells by the breakdown of food substances for all life processes.
Reproduction
Production of new organisms.
Sensitivity
The ability to be sensitive to and respond to changes in the surroundings
