What does T, N and M stand for?
T= Tumour
N= (lymph) Nodes
M= Metastases
What are the different scores for T in TNM staging
Tx -> no idea about tumours here mate x
To -> not palpable
T1 -> <2cm
T2 -> 2-5cm
T3 -> >5cm
T4a -> invades the skin
T4b -> invades chest wall
T4c -> invades skin and chest wall
T4d -> proper fucked mate
What are the different scores for N in TNM staging?
No -> no LNs involved
N1 -> LNs are involed but they’re mobile
N2 -> LNs are involed but they’re immobile (Ciro my friend…)
What are the different scores for M in TNM staging
Mx -> can’t be assessed
Mo -> mets has not occured
M1 -> mets has occured
If their is an ‘x’ after a letter in TNM staging, what does it mean
Whatever it is can’t be assessed
For T4 in TNM staging, what are the 4 different scores
T4a -> tumour invades skin
T4b -> tumour invades chest wall
T4c -> tumour invades both skin and chest wall
T4d -> proper fucked m8
Tumour is 3cm in size, LNs are palpable and mobile, no metastaese has occured
