How are the dispatch runway landing lengths calculated?
ALD * 1.67 (60% rule).
Add 15% of the calculated value for:
- Wet Runway
- Low Visibility

Chapter 9 of the POH; Normal Landing distance numbers with a given set of circumstances eg… CC Code, Thrust Reversers… ETC.
During Takeoff, what do we abort for below 80KTS?
Anything
Between 80KTS and V1 what do we abort for?
- Engine Failure
- Engine Fire
- Unsafe to Fly
- Loss of Directional Control
When do we make the decision to reject a takeoff?
V1 - 5

Where do the “RLD-DRY” numbers on the TLR come from?
ALD x 1.67. (60 percent rule). These numbers are what is required to get you legally off the ground.
Where do the 6, 5, 4, 3… etc. numbers come from on the TLR?
OLD numbers with an additional 15%. So OLD * 1.15… the 1, 2, 3, 4 are runway condition codes.

What is landing distance data based on?
Crossing the beginning of the available landing distance at 50’ AT Vref
What will make RLD-Dry Distance increase?
15% for not dry
15% for Low Visibility Landing (4,000)
Not more than once, it does not stack
DRY will change to WET
When should the Cost Index - Econ Speeds be used in flight?
Only if ACARS cost indexing is not available?
