Performer should practice in order to strengthen the S=R bond.
Eg. A cognitive badminton player should practice a serve over and over again.

What is Thorndike’s law of effect

Sporting example

A

A ‘satisfier’ will strengthen the S=R bond, an ‘annoyer’ will weaken the S=R bond.
Eg. Coach should explain to a tennis player why the serve is not working and then praise them when it is done correctly.

A

Performer must be physically and mentally capable of performing a task.
Eg. If a swimmer has not got the stamina to swim a length let him swim a width.
