When should a child be moved to forward facing?
should delay as long as possible and only be done when they outgrow the rear facing seat (between 1-3 years old)
What are the requirements for a child to still use a booster seat?
between 8-12 as long as they are below 4 ft 9 inches, no longer need a booster once taller than that and they can fit properly with a seatbelt
Whom would you recommend a large medical seat for?
those with poor postural control, temporary orthopedic conditions (casts, braces), behavioral concerns (escape artists)
Whom would you recommend a medical booster seat for?
those who need more support than what is provided by the vehicle seat belt alone, those who have some head/trunk control, those with developmental delays/achondroplasia/nm disorders/etc
Whom would you recommend a vest for?
those who need more support than a vehicle seat belt alone, those with behavioral challenges, those who unbuckle the seatbelt or child restraint, those with casts or who are unable to in a sitting position
Whom would you recommend car beds for?
premature or low birthweight infants, infants that fail infant car seat challenge prior to discharge, medical conditions that make it unsafe to be transported in standard care seat position
