A
- an associationist view focussed on connecting stimulus to response
- trial and error learning
- correct response is rewarded
- this reinforces the correct response

A
Law of exercise-rehearsing or repeating actions strengthens reinforcement
Law of effect- if followed by pleasant reaction S-R bond strengthened
Law of readiness- the athlete must be both mentally and physically capable of performing the skill efficiently

A
- learning is best achieved by premising the whole skill
- learner must think about the problem as a whole
- thought processes are dependant upon perception
