  1. Tissue drainage.
    The system filters fluid and transports it for excretion.
  2. Absorption in the small intestine.
    Absorb fats and fat-soluble vitamins through villi which contain lacteals (lymph capillaries).
  3. Immunity.
    Filter blood to remove microorganisms.
