What are the key aspects of the EA 2010?
Direct and indirect discrimination on the basis of a protected characteristic is illegal.
Discrimination in education, employment, access to goods/services and housing is prohibited.
There is to be no harassment or victimisation.
Reasonable adjustments must be made by employers or providers of goods and services for those with disabilities.
Women have the right to breastfeed in public places.
Positive actions are encouraged to take place.
Discrimination due to association is now an offence.
Pay secrecy clauses are now illegal.
