Modern day Texas.

They moved to mexico in search of a new home.
Aztec: What was the sign that gods supposedly was sent to the Aztecs? And what did it mean?
It was an eagle perched on a cactus with a snake in its mouth. It ment that they should live there.
Aztec: What is an example of an obstacle they faced at their new home?
It was hard to build in a swamp because of the small land, bad dirt for crops, dirty water, uneven land.
Aztec: What did they make to help grow plants?
They built chinampas.
Aztec: What are chinampas?
They are made by piling up mud and reeds in the water and are used to grow crops.
Aztec: What crops are grown on chinampas?
Corn, beans, and squash.
Aztec: What was the capital os the aztec/mexico?
Tenochtitlan.
Aztec: What were reeds for?
To filter out salt in the water.
Aztec: What are a few creatures that they ate?
Dogs, frogs, monkeys, tadpoles, lizards, ants, and caterpillar.

They could be used for money or making chocolate.
Aztec: Chocolate was believed to be what from the gods?
It was viewed as a food from the gods.

Drunkeness in public.
aztec: The first time you were drunk in public resulted in what?
Your head got shaved.
Aztec: What happened the second time you were caught drunk in public?
You would be beaten to death.
Aztec: What religion were they?
Polytheistic.
Aztec: What were caves to them?
They were portals to the afterlife.
Aztec: How did they honor gods?
They had festivals and human sacrifice.
Aztec: Who did they think would return to end them?
The thunder god.
Aztec: Describe ways they would sacrifice people.
They would take people to the tops of temples, and cut out their heart with an obsidian blade. they would also throw children into watery caverns to appease the gods.
Aztec: Why did they use human sacrifice?
Because they thought it was a good way to die and that it would make the gods happy.
