Q

What are the two types of testicular torsion?

A
  1. Intravaginal - spermatic cord twists in the tunica vaginalis
  2. Extravaginal - the entire testis and tunica vaginalis twist in a vertical axis on the spermatic cord

Q

What is the management for testicular torsion?

A

Emergency surgery

  1. After testes is twisted back = orchidopexy performed
  2. If testes necrotic = orchidectomy

Q

What is the prognosis for testicular torsion?
