What is mass production?
The process through which consumer goods are produced in larger quantities quicker and more efficiently which in turn results in reduction in prices.
What was emergency relief?
When monetary, medical or social aid is given to someone in trouble very quickly to help them get out of it
What was public works?
Building projects by the government, for recreational, employment, and health and safety uses in the greater community
What was recovery?
A medium term solution to helping people come out of crisis or trouble
What was Reform?
A solution that stops an even happening again
What was the Sheppard-Towner act?
This gave federal funding to maternity and childcare services. This was not fully supported as some believed it reinforced the view that women were only meant to have children and give birth
