대중교통 이용에 대해서
About the use of public transportation.
대부분의 사람들이 출퇴근시간에 운전을 하고 있습니다.
Most people are driving during rush hours.
그런데 전화 조사에 따르면, 대부분의 사람들이 대중교통이 있으면 이용하겠다고 대답했습니다.
However, according to a phone survey, the majority of people responded that, if public transportation were available, they would use it.
다음은 인터뷰 내용입니다.
The next are some interview details (responses).
응답자 1: 저는 보통 차로 출퇴근합니다.
Respondent 1: I usually commute (to/from work) by car.
교통이 안 복잡하면 고속도로로 약 30분 걸려요.
If the traffic is not congested, it takes about 30 minutes on the highway.
하지만, 비가 오면 한 시간 반쯤 걸려요.
However, if it rains, it takes about an hour and a half.
그런데 집 근처에 지하철이나 버스가 없어서 차를 운전해야 해요.
But, there is no subway or bus near my home, so I have to drive.
응답자 2: 저는 대중교통을 자주 이용합니다.
Respondent 2: I frequently use public transportation.
주로 지하철을 타요.
Mainly, I take the subway.
지하철이 버스보다 편해요.
The subway is more convenient than the bus.
응답자 3: 저는 분당에 살아요.
Respondent 3: I live in Bundang.
서울까지 지하철과 버스가 있어서 좋아요.
There is a subway and a bus to Seoul, so it’s good.
그런데 가끔 밤에 늦게 집에 갈 때 버스나 지하철이 없어서 택시를 타야 해요.
However, sometimes when I go home late at night, there are no buses or subways, so I have to take a taxi.
택시비가 너무 비싸서 부담이 돼요.
The taxi fare is too expensive so it’s burdensome.
