- Scottish Needs Assessment programme (SNAP) : only scottish
- pt would meet SNAP criteria but very low priority
- depend on health board budget/ suitability as a special study case

- no specialism in implant dentistry, only with special interest
- hence, refer to implant dentist who are trained and competent

- type of restorations

- written costed plan with options including no tx, answer pt’s questions, not down discussions, consider written consent
