what is torsion ?

A

Ovarian torsion is a condition that occurs when an ovary twists around the ligaments that hold it in place. This twisting can cut off blood flow to the ovary and fallopian tube.

Complications of rupture ?

A

symptoms depend on amount and character of contents
mild - pain relief
severe - peritonitis and pseudomyxoma peritonei -if rupture a mucin cyst can spread mucin all over the abdomen
