metaplasia of the synovium.

A
Multiple intraarticular calcifications - Follow the joint spaces well.

what do early signs of synovial osteochondromatosis look like ?
A
Before the cartilage calcifies, you will only see joint effusions.

Where is Synovial Osteochondromatosis commonly seen?
A
Knee, hip and elbow.

What is the relevance of the lose bodies and calling the finding Synovial Osteochondromatosis ?
A
If the loose bodies are of the same size it is called Synovial Osteochondromatosis. If different sizes then secondary Synovial Osteochondromatosis.
