What are the 6 radiographic features of psoratic arthritis ?
A
- Soft tissue swelling/dactylitis(caused by inflammation) .
- Pencil in cup/ micky mouse deformity (looks like a point or ears)
- periosteal reaction.(increase in density adjacent to the cortex).
- Floating phalanx.
- New bone formation giving a fluffy appearance.

What joints are affected by Psoriatic arthritis ?
A
Distal interphalangeal joints of fingers and toes.

What is not affected in psoriatic arthritis ?
A
The bone density. You will not see juxta articular osteopenia like you usually see in RA.

What is Psoriatic arthritis identical to radiographically ?
A
REITER’S SYNDROME. However, hands are not commonly involved and Reiter’s syndrome is not common in females.

Is the distributions of PSA symmetrical or asymmetrical ?
A
Symmetrical affecting small joints and similar distribution to RA.
