bowel joining the interstitial lumen
How does intussecpition present?
6 months old
vomiting food, yellow, then green
sausage like mass on abdomen
red jelly in nappy
How is intussecption diagnosed?
ultrasound - looks like a bullseye or on right angle looks like a kidney
How is intussecption treated?
laprascopically
What is a midgut volvulus?
infarction of the superior mesenteric artery due to malrotation during the babys development leading to ischeamia
How does midgut volvulus present?
baby vomiting green - LIFE THREATENING
How are midgut volvuluses diagnosed?
tube down stomach and watch the contrast go through
What is a hypospadious?
peeing out the bit below the urethra
How does a torsion of the hyatid present?
black dot on testicle that needs to be taken off
What is the hyatid?
embrylogical remnant of females mammalian tract
What is balinitis xserotic obliterans?
white scarring of the tip of the penis
