What is the MA of the Latissimus Dorsi?
Extension of the shoulder, adduction of the shoulder, internal (medial) rotation of the shoulder, and raises body towards arm when climbing
What is the P of the Latissimus Dorsi?
Propelling a wheelchair forward and pushing downwards on the arms of a chair to go from sitting to standing
What is the DA of the Latissimus Dorsi?
The floor of the intertubercular sulcus of the humerus
What is the PA of the Latissimus Dorsi?
Inferior angle of the scapula, spinous processes of T7-T12, ribs 9-12 or 10-12, thoracolumbar fascia, and iliac crest
What is the N for the Latissimus Dorsi?
Thoracodorsal nerve (C6-C8)
What is the P of the Trapezius?
Upper and lower fibers reach for an object overhead and middle fibers row a kayak or canoe
What is the MA of the Upper Trapezius?
Bilaterally: extension of the head and neck
Unilaterally: laterally flexion of the head and neck to the same side, contralateral rotation of the head and neck, elevation of the scapula, and upward rotation of the scapula
What is the MA of the Middle Trapezius?
Adduction of the scapula and stabilization of the scapula
What is the MA of the Lower Trapezius?
Depression of the scapula and upward rotation of the scapula
What is the PA of the Trapezius?
External occipital protuberance, superior nuchal line, ligamentum nuchae, and spinous processes of C7-T12
What is the DA of the Trapezius?
Lateral 1/3 of clavicle, acromion, and spine of scapula
What is the N for the Trapezius?
Spinal accessory nerve (CN XI) and ventral ramus C3 and C4 (pain and proprioceptive fibers)
What is the P of the Levator Scapulae?
Shrugging shoulders, carrying a briefcase, carrying a backpack on one shoulder
What is the MA of the Levator Scapulae?
Unilaterally: elevation of the scapula and downward rotation of the scapula
What is the PA of the Levator Scapulae?
Transverse processes of C1-C4
