succinylcholine anectine Flashcards
drug classification
depolarizing neuromuscular blocker
mechanism of action
nicotinic ACh R agonist- competes with ACh at neuromuscular junction. when bound, causes initial wave of widespread neuromuscular depolarization and prevents ACh binding and secondary muscle stimulation.
