muscarinic ACh R antagonist- inhibits parasympathetic stimulation in SA and AV nodal cells- prevents potassium efflux and hyperpolarization-positive chronotropy, no inotropic effects

blurred vision, dialated pupils, dry mouth, tachycardia, drowsiness, confusion
dose bradycardia adult
0.5 mg slow IV IO q 3-5 min max of 3mg
RSI adult
0.5 -1mg IV IO
organophosphate poison adult
2-5 mg IV IO IM q 20-30 min until S/S resolve
bradycardia pedi dose
0.02mg/kg IV IO minimum single dose of 0.1mg, max single dose 0.5mg
RSI pedi
0.02mg/kg IV IO
organophosphate poisoning child
0.05mg/kg IV IO IM q 20-30 min until S/S resolve
