A

Bind to extracellular “sulfonylurea-R subunit” of K+-ATP channels of beta cell –> K+-ATP channel closure –> depolarization –> inc activation of volt gated Ca channels –> inc insulin secretion

Still increases insulin secretion even if plasma glucose becomes too low
