A

- Stressor: perceived to represent harm, loss or threat

- Process about mastering the condition of harm or threat
- Several forms of doing this:
- Seek info
- Take direct action
- Do nothing
- Worry

Importance of Stress Coping Paradigm?
A
Recognises that stimuli are not themselves stressful. Stress arises as a consequence of the cognitive thinking process which people bring to bear on a particular stimuli.
