- Often acts as a trigger for creating a state of anxiety
Eg. What if my foot slips off a ledge and I slip

What does the Physical Symptoms component of anxiety involve?
A
- Increased heart rate and blood pressure
- Feelings of tension in muscles
- Sweating
- Nausea

What does the Behaviour component of anxiety involve?
A
- Involved in reduction of anxiety
Eg. Refusing to go on rock face

What are Phobias?
A
- Fear that is out of proportion to the potential threat posed by a particular object or situation

What is Generalised Anxiety?
A
- Not apparently linked to any specific situation or object
- Person experiences high state of arousal
- General sense of dread
- Likely to experience uncontrollable worry, somatic complaints, tension and restlessness
- Trepidation

What are Panic Attacks?
A
- Sudden waves of acute anxiety that seem to come out of the blue
