Secure Attachment
A
- Strongest type
- Child feels he can depend on his parent when he needs support.
- Child knows what to expect
- Plays well with other children his age

Avoidant Attachment
A
- Non Secure
- Avoidant children have learned that depending on parents wont get them the secure feeling they want, so they learn to take care of themselves
- May seem too independent
- Dont often ask for help but get frustrated easily
- May be aggressive

Ambivalent Attachment
A
- Ambivalence: not being completely sure of something
- Children have learned that sometimes their needs will be met and sometimes they arent
- Notice what behaviour got parents attention and use that over and over
- Ambivalent children are often very clingy
- Act younger than they are

Disorganised Attachment
A
- Dont know what to expect from their parents
- Do things that make no sense
- Speak fast and hard to understand
2 Types of disorganised attachments:
1) Controlling: bossy with their friends
2) Care giving: treat other children in childish way acting like parent
