Being challenged by complex problems as part of a team, Mech Eng formula student, Variety of problems, seeing the results of my innovative solutions especially with business and technology. Learning. Building Relationships.

Do you most like starting tasks or finishing them?
Starting them. I find new challenges particularly exciting but I always finish what I start. And sometimes I get excited by finishing a challenge because it means I get to start my next one which I am usually always looking ahead too.
Do you prefer the big picture or the small details?
Production management big picture to meet shipping targets, did not neglect details because I believe it is crucial to achieving the overall goal effectively.
Describe a successful day. What made it successful?
Exceed my goals or deliver more than was expected of me. MCS support clearing 6 month backlog.
What are you good at?
Teamwork allows me to play to my strengths of:

Self Starter, leading and setting goals, assuming responsibility

What are your weaknesses?
Delegating – Sometimes I take on too much responsibility.
Self-Critical – Sometimes I am too critical in my self-assessment and don’t recognise my achievements
One which I had not considered as a weakness of mine until I received my capp assessment feedback report was my resilience. I had always considered myself to bounce back quickly from setbacks but since receiving this report I have taken on board that this can be further improved. I know pperceive disappointment and failure as a form of feedback may enable you to recover quicker.
What did you enjoy studying at school or university?
Enjoyed most subjects because I like to learn. Math Physics and Engineering. Enjoyed Solving Complex Problems, by analysing data, to provide innovative solutions. Group Problems.

Formula Student or MCS Customer Support
What do you enjoy doing the least?
Lying or misleading people
Do you find there are enough hours in the day to complete your to-do list?
Usually with careful planning and time management I achieve my goals efficiently in the required amount of time. If a particularly important project requires more hours to meet the committed deadline then of course I’m happy to put in the extra hours to achieve this.
What tasks are always left on your to-do list?
I try to prioritise everything I do so what is left on my to do list would usually be of the lowest priority, however I would still ensure that it is completed before any given deadlines. For example when I was working in customer support I would address any critical errors which might require an engineer to go on site first and then address lower priority issues such as a cosmetic issues. I would, however, still maintain continuous contact with the customers re-assuring them that their issue was being dealt with.
