A

A ‘mark’ indicating a negative difference from other normal subjects.

  • An ‘attribute that is deeply discrediting.’
  • Devaluation of an individual that possesses a deviant attribute.
  • Elements of labelling, stereotyping, separation and discrimination which occur together in a power situation that allows them
