Standard Operating Procedures - PRO-NOR-SOP-12 Takeoff Flashcards
90- When and How to Apply the Tail Wind Technic?
PRO-NOR-SOP-12 P1
In case of Tailwind or Crosswind Greater than 20 Kt:
- PF applies Full forward Stick
- PF sets 50 % N1 (1.05 EPR) on Both Engines then
Progressively Increases Thrust to reach TakeOff Thrust
at 40 Kt Ground Speed, while maintaining Stick Full
Forward up to 80 Kt. Then Release the Stick gradually
to Reach Neutral at 100 Kt
- Once the Thrust Levers are Set to FLX or TOGA detent,
the Captain Keeps his hand on the Thrust Levers until
the Aircraft Reaches V1.
91- What does the FADEC do to Avoid Flutter when T/O THR is set?
PRO-NOR-SOP-12 P1
The FADEC includes a Keep-Out zone:
- It is designed to Avoid Steady state Operation inside
a N1 Range between 60 % and 74 %
due to Fan Flutter Phenomenon.
92- What happen at 130 Kt (Wheel Speed) during T/O Roll?
PRO-NOR-SOP-12 P1
- The Connection between NoseWheel Steering and the
Rudder Pedals is removed
- In Strong Crosswinds, more Rudder Input will be
Required.
93- When does the Connection Between NoseWheel Steering and the Rudder Pedals is Removed During T/O?
PRO-NOR-SOP-12 P1
- At 130 Kt (Wheel Speed)
- In strong Crosswinds, more Rudder Input will be
Required to Prevent the Aircraft from Turning
Into the Wind at this point.
94- What to do in Case of TailStrike at T/O?
PRO-NOR-SOP-12 P4
If a TailStrike occurs:
- Return to the Originating Airport and Keep the
Cabin Altitude Below Pressurisation Altitude.
95- When to select Packs ON during a Packs OFF T/O?
PRO-NOR-SOP-12 P4
- Select PACK 1 ON After CLB Thrust Reduction
- Select PACK 2 ON After Flap Retraction (Flap 0).
96- What are the Restrictions associated to the Selection of PACKs ON After T/O?
PRO-NOR-SOP-12 P4
- If Selected Before reducing to TakeOff Thrust it
would Result in an EGT Increase
- PACK 2 may be Selected Earlier, but Not Sooner than
10 s After PACK 1 ON for Passenger Comfort
- ECAM Caution will be Triggered IF the Packs are
still Not Switched ON After the TakeOff phase.
97- What Speed change is to be observed at ACC ALT?
PRO-NOR-SOP-12 P5
The Target Speed change from V2+10 to the CLB Speed.
98- What’s Specific about the Acceleration Altitude related to the couples
THR RED/ ACC ALT &
FCU ALT / ACC ALT?
PRO-NOR-SOP-12 P5
- When THR RED and ACC ALT are Equal,
the FMA will change From:
MAN FLX/SRS/NAV –> THR CLB/CLB/NAV
- If FCU Selected Altitude is Equal To / Close To the
ACC ALT, then the FMA will switch From
SRS –> ALT*.
