What do you do if you have a rotor brake fire? (2)

PC shall clear area of all personnel and A/C shall be shutdown without rotor brake *fire fighting procedures only with actual confirmation of fire. if only smoking, allow rotor brake to cool and monitor

What do you do if you have hot brakes or wheel brake fire? (6)

If taxiing in line, PC notifies pilots with hand signals If pilot discovers, pilot will flash HVR light/Searchlight to notify PC Pilot slow A/C using flight controls Stop A/C ASAP Chock opposite wheel or tail wheel if both main wheels are on fire Shutdown as soon as safely possible

What do you do for wheel brake failure? (3)

Pilot flash HVR light/Searchlight Slow A/C with flight controls Chocked on both sides after A/C stopps

What do you do with rotor brake failure? (3)

When rotor brake is questionable during waterwash, pilot should refer to maintenance control for status and repair If burnout is immediately required, dual pilot burnout with rotors engaged shall be conducted Otherwise, waterwash shall not be completed until maintenance on rotor brake is complete and single pilot waterwash can be accomplished with rotor brake applied

What do you do with hung droop stops? (2)

Rotor engaged/shutdown max 3 times | PC will clear area of all non-essential personnel and shutdown

What do you do with hung ordnance? (2)

If airfield unable to assist, A/C shall land in de-arm area and contact maintenance to coordinate with ordnance personnel Only ordnance qualified personnel will safe all ordnance

When may the SO window be removed? (4)

At HACs discretion to increase visibility Shall be removed for CAL/LZ and TACFORM Shall be re-installed by authorized maintenance personnel SO may temporarily re-installed for refuel or wash rack

Can you take off with a malfunctioning tail wheel lockpin?

Shore based should not takeoff

What shall be on for practice autos?

C-PWR

Who can practice 180 autos?

Shall be a STAN Pilot

2 Ways to practice single engine EPs

Leave at least 30% TRQ on malfunctioning engine and adjust as necessary to keep the operating engine below 135% Leave both PCLs in FLY and split SE C-PWR Available in half

Mission CDR HAC Murder Board Complete Shall have SO Level 3 or above Designated HAC shall observe brief and pre/post flight procedures

When shall landings to unprepared surfaces be conducted?

Shall only be on scheduled CAL/LZ flights or operational tasking

What is the CAL/LZ currency?

If not conducted CAL/LZ within last 90 days, crew should practice CAL/LZ procedures to a non-confined, prepared surface before conducting actual CAL/LZ
