what is the VMD Code of Practice for SQPs?

A
  • if POM-V or POM-VPS product is supplied orally, there must be a record kept for 5 years
  • it’s an offence to alter a written prescription
  • SQP must authorise each transaction individually and the person handling the meds must be competent to do so
  • where medicines require specific storage, these must be packed in accordance to the products label when sent for delivery- records kept of this
