Positive impacts:

Negative impacts:
- Facilities can end up not being used after the event
- Lesser known non-global sports can suffer
- Sport deviance is more likely to be highlighted

A
Positive impacts:
- More money is brought into the city or country, which can be used for the local population and to support public services.
- Can often result in improved transport systems.
- Accomodation and other facilities can be used by the community
Negative impacts:
- Some areas of the country may not get the same facility benefits as the host city such as many 2016 facilities are near Rio de janerio
- Local inhabitants may have to vacate land being used for sports venues

A
Positive impacts:
- An increase in income to the country involved leads to a positive economic impact
- There is an increase in tourism
- More jobs are created
Negative impacts:
- Bidding to host a global sports event can be very expensive ( England spent £21 million on 2018 football World Cup)
- The benefits to employment are temporary

Political impacts
A
Positive impacts:
- The country or city can use the event as a shop window for their culture and commerce therefore raise the country’s status in the eyes of the world
- Staging a global event can bring unity to a country.
Negative impacts:
- If the cost of the event is too high or it goes over budget, then this can become a political disadvantage.
- If something goes wrong such as a refroidit attack, this can be politically disadvantages.
