What were the causes of the Germania revolt?
- people hated the local muslims and their employers (nobility)
- plague broke out and believed it was a punishment for tolerating local muslims
- Resentment against noble privileges
- Near starvation
- Charles’ disinterest in spain (postponed 2 valencian cortes)
Describe the events of the Germania Revolt
- violence against the muslims - murdered some however most were forcefully baptised
- revolters took over the city
- the revolters then moved out of the city into other places e.g. majorca
- Support was withdrawn when Vincent Peris took over and encouraged violence and radicalism (middle class backed out)
- The city of Valencia was recaptured by the crown

- Punishments for revolters - death, fines and confiscation of possessions
