Bodegas Trenza
Founded in 2004 by David and Jonas.
The vineyards are located north of Yecla, at 750 - 800 m ASL
The soil is rocky and rich in lime; the grapes for this wine were cold-soaked for 4-5 days, with fermentation for 12-14 days and oak-aged for 6 months.
Yecla DO:
Situated between Jumilla, Alicante and Almansa, Yecla is the smallest wine zone in Murcia.
Warm continental climate, with hot summers and cold winters; very low rainfall, receives some moderation influence from the Mediterranean; altitude is an important factor influencing the mesoclimate.
85% of the vineyard area is dedicated to Monastrell (Mourvedre or Mataro), Spain’s 3rd most important black grape and well suited for this region
